At DACA, 73% of students achieved grades between 9 and 4. Head of School Nicki Gregg said: "After another disrupted school year, our students have demonstrated resilience, determination and an ability to adapt to a different style of learning. We are very proud of them and how they have coped throughout this period. Once again, our students have achieved the grades they need to continue to the next step on their chosen pathways."
Georgina Brown who got eight grade 9s and a grade 8 is staying at DACA Sixth Form to study Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. On getting her results she said: “DACA has worked to help me find my passion and achieve my dreams."
Rose Stancliffe achieved a grade 9 and seven grade 8s and will also be staying at DACA Sixth Form to study Maths, Chemistry and Psychology. She said: “I had support from my teachers at all times. They always helped me to improve on my errors."
Amongst many other top GCSE achievers were Amelia Sokolowska, Matthew Connell, Shaila Zaman, Luke Reynolds, Leyla Orhanli, Sian Edwards, Lucy Shaw, Bradley Price, Paige Parker, Logan Howarth and Josh Farnworth while Kadeem Ali, Jessica Brookfield, Ellie Brownson, Abigail Duerden, Lucy Freeman, Kiara Gorzella, Miesha Gul, Benjamin Holden, Isaac Hussain, Leah Jones, Owais Kiyani, Bory Nagy, Alannah Slack, Freya Smith, Lorna Teague, Bobby Touri, Daniel Trueman and Megan Wilson were all awarded Distinction*s at Btec.
Joseph Hewitt achieved a grade 9, three grade 8s, three grade 7s and a grade 6. He will be studying Computer Science, Psychology and Philosophy at Runshaw College. He said “There are lots of incredibly good teachers who helped me by explaining everything in a way that I could understand.”
Pierce German was awarded four grade 8s, two grade 7s and two grade 6s and is staying at DACA Sixth Form to study Psychology, Sociology and Biology. He said: "I got outstanding support from the staff and they helped me carry on to achieve my grades. I can’t wait to start at DACA Sixth Form!”
Gavin Wade, Pastoral Manager for Year 11 said: “Alongside the challenges teenagers today face already, never has there been a more demanding time to be a student – and our students surpassed all of our expectations. We knew they were going to do well because of their determination and a wonderful array of supportive parents. We are so proud of what they have achieved.”

DACA students achieved 100% pass rates at A-Level and Btec with 69% top A* - B grades at A-Level and 85% Distinction*- Distinction at Btec. Three quarters of DACA sixth formers are heading to university, with more than 80% accepted by their first choices.

Fiona McMahon Director of the DACA Sixth Form said: “We are really proud of all of our students. They thoroughly deserve the grades they have achieved and this has reflected the hard work they have put in over the past 7 years.”

Zoe Porter, who got three A*s and a B is heading to St John’s College, University of Cambridge to study History. On getting her results she said: “DACA Sixth Form is a smaller sixth form which means you get to know everyone and, in my experience, everyone was very friendly. The teaching is very impressive as teachers strive to help you push yourself to your full potential."
Alix Addison achieved two A*s and two As and will be going to Liverpool University to study Mathematics and Computer Science. She said: “I couldn’t have got into university without the support from staff."
Amongst many other top achievers, Mia Harrison’s 3 As and a B grade are taking her to Salford University to study Midwifery; with 2 Distinction *s and a Distinction, George Garth will be studying Professional Policing at Edge Hill University; with 2 A*s and 3 As, Kacey Stonnell is heading to the University of Manchester to study Art History and English Literature; and Charlotte Collin achieved an A* and 3 As and will be going to Hull York Medical School to study Medicine.
Mia Taylor achieved an A*, an A and a Distinction*; Emily Bolton achieved 2A*s and 2As; Aaron Dearn and Matthew Hind achieved 2 Distinction*s and a B; Shannon McFadden achieved 2 Distinction*s and an A; and Natasha Pim achieved 2 A*s and an A.
Josh James was awarded 3 A*s and an A and is going to Durham University to study Ancient History. He said: "The teachers showed determination and passion, particularly in lockdown and my History teachers went above and beyond to provide me with additional resources to achieve the best grades. DACA sixth form gave me a tailored timetable that helped me thrive.”
