Remembrance Day

2018 is the centenary of the armistice that ended the First World War. DACA has remembered this by showing all students excerpts from Peter Jackson’s ‘They Shall Not Grow Old’ film. Students and staff attended the schools’ remembrance service at Darwen cemetery on Friday 9th November. As another act of remembrance posters were displayed around the academy of family and relations of staff, men and women who served during the two world wars of the Twentieth Century and who in some cases did not come home.
