Swimming Gala Success

On Tuesday evening our Key Stage 3 and 4 girls competed in the BwD Swimming Gala. The squad were all fantastic ambassadors for the Academy, they were exceptionally well behaved and performed brilliantly.

Individual successes were achieved by Holly Brown (year 8) who came 3rd in the Individual medley, swimming against girls in the year above, she also won the U13 Backstroke event.

Ella-Jane Duncan won the Under 13 Freestyle event improving on her result from year 7. Both girls are now trophy holders for the Borough and Town Champions.

Other students to shout about include Holly Whitham-Vaja (year 10) who was runner up in the Under 14 Freestyle event and Lois Cowburn who was runner up in the U13 Butterfly event. Our other squad members included Melissa Hobson who helped our U14s come 3rd in the relay events.

Our full squad included; Olivia Burns, Neve Brereton, Libby Ward (year 7), and Emily Kelly (year 8).
