Tutors, parents and students attended a special assembly to recognise the achievements of all our Year 8 students, a year group who have many talents and are making fantastic progress. Each tutor group also gave a short presentation where they talked about their achievements so far and their aspirations and ambitions for the future. The presentations were all of a very high quality and showed the creative skills of students including 8 KHD who dressed up in the clothing of the careers they want to go into and 8 AKN who made a short film showcasing their talents. Every student received a certificate recognising the Aldridge attribute they have made the most progress with a comment from their form tutor about the achievements during registration activities (such as student council, Votes For Schools and PSHCE). Students who have attained 100% attendance so far were also commended. Year 8 have had an excellent year so far and we look forward to seeing just how far they can go.
