DACA Sixth Form Goes From Strength To Strength

Darwen Aldridge Community Academy students are celebrating some outstanding post 16 results this year. Provisional indications are that 45% of all A level grades achieved were A* – B and that nearly half of all Applied / Vocational subjects were passed with top Distinction * / Distinction grades.

Ellie Baxter A*, A, B (going to Northumbria University to study Fashion Communication)

Catriona Field A* A* B (going to study 2D Animation and Character for Digital Media and at Hertfordshire University)

Emma Collins Distinction, Distinction, B, A* going to Nottingham University to study Nutrition & Dietetics

Orla McManamom Distinction B, A, A* (going to Northumbria University to study Criminology and Sociology)

Two students Tony Leigh Willets and Mumina Ali, have been accepted on to foundation medical degree courses. Tony Leigh will be studying Clinical science with Medical foundation at Bradford University and Mumina will be doing her foundation degree for medicine and surgery at Lancaster University.
