Preparing for the future - Blackburn is Hiring

On the 19th September we took 219 year 10 students to Blackburn Cathedral to attend the Blackburn is Hiring careers aspiration event. This event hosted over 100 Universities, colleges, training providers and local employers. It was represented by all sectors from manufacturing, engineering, agriculture, finance, public services, sport and leisure and health. Students were given the freedom to speak and engage with all providers represented to ask questions linked to careers, to discover the expectations for accessing course at both colleges and universities along with more importantly showcasing the opportunities they have available to them locally. This was a brilliant event where many students took a lot of use from accessing key information to inform their planning for the next phase of the careers journey.
